SPOKANE, Wash. -- Ramsey Hopkins was a double winner as Washington State track and field competitors claimed wins in eight events Saturday at the SCC WAR IV Track & Field meet held at Spokane Falls Community College.
Hopkins won the men's 110m hurdles in a time of 14.56 seconds, and long jumped a personal-record distance of 22-feet, 8 inches (6.91m).
Other winners from the men's team included Dana Wells in the 400m hurdles with a PR time of 52.50, and Ryan Deese in the high jump with a season-best leap of 6-9 3/4 (2.08m).
WSU women won four events Saturday. Cindy Robinson won the 200m dash in a time of 25.25, Devin Brooks won the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.76, Shantae Young won the triple jump with a leap of 38-8 3/4 (11.80m), and the Cougars won the 4x100m relay in a time of 46.66.
At the SCC meet, Cougar women tallied seven lifetime-best marks and the WSU men tallied five PRs.
Next weekend Washington State track and field competitors will be at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
